2019 was pretty cool. We launched a blog, shared some cute stuff with ya’ll, and learned a lot along the way. Looking back on the year we can honestly say the best thing we did was start. We wanted to try something new so we just went for it and our advice to you all is to go for it too- whatever ‘it’ may be. The best part about 2019 was getting to share our style and lives with you all and we can’t wait to see what 2020 brings for us and this little community we are a part of. Basically, our year went like this: we shared things we LOVED, ya’ll bought ‘em, and now we all can’t live without ‘em. So, here’s to a year of ya’ll following along with us for this wild ride. We made a list of the top 19 things you purchased in 2019:
Number 19: The Area Rug so good we bought it twice
Our favorite home décor item of 2019. This thing is in Hayley’s bedroom-ya’ll have seen it in all of our try-ons. Then we loved it so much we bought it for our dining room too! It’s up to 70% off right now but some of the sizes are selling out so grab it while you can.
Number 18: White Leather Booties with Urban Cowboy vibes
These were the first pair of genuine leather boots we have ever owned and let me tell ya they are worth the splurge. Love the white color obviously but also the western details and oh yeah- they fit TTS.
Number 17: $44 Lack of Color Hat Dupe
The best thing about this hat may be the price- considering it is a total dupe for a $200 hat for the low price of 44 freaking dollars ya’ll. Not to mention it comes in 6 colors: black, brown, grey, navy, taupe, and neutral. We have it in black and taupe which is really light pinkish tan color.
Number 16: THE Heels
We told ya’ll to buy these heels and you listened. They are life changing because someone finally figured out how to make a pair of heels we can wear all day to work, dancing the night away at a wedding, or literally anywhere else. We wore these to work almost every day this year, to every wedding we attended, walking around Las Vegas, dancing at our holiday party, you get the point. We have them in black leather, black suede, and tan leather.
Number 15: Super Cool Leather Jacket
This leather jacket was a recent purchase of ours that ya’ll loved too. The original price was $470 but it’s on sale for only $114. We are usually a size US6 but we sized up to US10 so we could fit bulkier things underneath. It’s for sure a closet staple we will wear for years!
Number 14: Golden Goose Dupes
Once again, the best thing about these sneakers may be the price- considering they are a total dupe for a $500 pair for $85 freaking dollars ya’ll. PLUS they are doing 40% off site wide right now which makes them only $51. They come in 6 color options- we have leopard and gold sparkle. We followed the size guide on the website, and they fit great!
Number 13: Wrap One-Piece Bathing Suit for EVERY Body Type
This one piece could have a movie written about it (cue Sisterhood of the Traveling Pants). Okay that might be a little bit weird but the only reason we say this is because it for-real will fit any body type. The wrap makes the waist and chest completely adjustable and totally flattering. We have it in black, green, and orange and got our true size medium.
Number 12: Tula Skincare
Skincare so good we have used it every morning and night for over a year now! We have an entire blog post about Tula if you want to know more about it, but we use 1. Purifying Face Cleanser, 2. Pro Glycholic Resurfacing Gel, and 3. Hydrating Day and Night Cream. You can get these 3 items in a starter kit to try them out too!
Number 11: Comfiest Oversized Sweatshirt
This sweatshirt is a perfect match for a pair of leggings. It has an oversized fit without being too bulky because it’s super lightweight. Also, it comes in 8 colors including leopard print which is the best color in the rainbow in our opinion. We got our true size medium.
Number 10: Personalized Name Necklace
The perfect gift for literally anyone, including yourself. They are custom made and come in silver, rose-gold, or gold and you can also get it with or without crystals. We got gold with crystals and LOVE them. The letters don’t slide around which is amazing too! They also make ready to ship necklaces if you have a name that they already have stocked it could come much faster.
Number 9: Gold Circle Hanging Wall Mirror
When we first bought this mirror, we knew it would look great in every room of our house. It ended up in Abbey’s bedroom above her nightstand and it really transformed the space. You can grab it in black, white, silver, or brass.
Number 8: Faux-Leather Leggings
Leather leggings that won’t break the bank. These are almost half as much as the Spanx pairs and twice as good in our opinion. You can wear them with sweaters and booties, a tunic and heels, or a hoodie and sneakers for the perfect and COMFORTABLE outfit. We got our true size medium.
Number 7: Tanning Water and Drops
Our favorite beauty product of 2019. Everything could go wrong but as long as you’re tan you can conquer the world- we swear by it. We use the dark shade and apply it using the tanning mitt. They also make tanning drops that we mix into our Tula moisturizer to tan our faces.
Number 6: Amazon Snakeskin Booties
The only thing better than a killer snakeskin print pointed toe bootie is the fact it can be on your doorstep in 48 hours from now. These snakeskin booties are a major Amazon score for sure and have a lower heel, so they are comfortable too! We sized up ½ a size.
Number 5: Tile Stickers from our DIY Kitchen Backsplash
We did a fun DIY project and re-did our kitchen backsplash. We used peel and stick vinyl tiles and absolutely love how the project turned out. We broke down what we did step-by-step in a blog post ya’ll can check out. They come in endless patterns and colors and could be used to freshen up any space that has walls.
Number 4: The Best Leggings of All Time
We swear by these leggings and now ya’ll do too. We wear them dressed up with real outfits and also to workout in. They are so soft they feel like butter and they come in 4 colors. We have 6 pairs of the exact same leggings because they are that dang good. We get our true size medium.
Number 3: Mom Jeans of all Mom Jeans
The pair of jeans everyone and their mom is talking about. They aren’t the saggy butt kind of mom jeans either, because nobody wants that! They are a true denim material, not very stretchy, and we always get our true size 6 in them. You need this pair of jeans in your life.
Number 2: Mini Puffer Jacket
This mini puffer jacket is the cutest and coziest purchase of 2019. Not only is it super stylish it’s also functional and WARM. We sized up to a large to be able to fit bulkier clothing underneath if needed and we love the cropped look! It comes in so many colors and in velvet too.
Number 1: Amazon Skinny-Can Koozies
The number 1 seller from our blog in 2019 and we can’t even believe it. Obviously, you all enjoy the fun little things in life just like we do, and sometimes a leopard or cactus print koozie for your white claw is just what you need to brighten up your day. They come in packs of 2 for under $10 and have 24 color and pattern options. Cheers to 2019!
